Our series of Christmas services for 2018 starts with Unwrapped, an alternative look at Christmas, on Friday 14th December at 7.00 p.m. at St Martin’s in Mill Road while, on Sunday 16th December, we have Carols at Christmas, with traditional carols and readings, at 6.30 p.m. at the Parish Church.
St Martin's has Christmas Café Church at 10.30 on Sunday 23rd December (with the usual services at 9.00 and 10.45 at the Parish Church.) There's no evening service on Sunday 23rd.
Then, on Christmas Eve, we have our very popular Christingle Services - two of them again this year - at 2.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. in the Parish Church. [Please note: Doors open half-an-hour before the service starts and, to keep things safe and enjoyable for everyone, numbers are strictly limited to 450 at each service. It's not possible to book in advance or to reserve seats on the day so, if you're coming as a group, please arrange to arrive together.] These are simple services, suitable for all ages, to celebrate the Christmas story, and we invite you to bring the children (or come yourself) dressed as shepherds, Wise Men, angels or farm animals so that we can re-enact the story of the first Christmas. Also on Christmas Eve there's the traditional Midnight Communion, starting at 11.00 p.m. in the Parish Church.
Finally, on Christmas Day, there are two services at the Parish Church: a traditional Christmas Communion at 9.00 a.m. and an All-Age Celebration for Christmas Day at 10.45 a.m. Everyone is welcome, and we look forward to seeing you.
