This week's prayer suggestions

Please pray for LifeLight (formerly Cromer SU Beach Mission)...

  • for the whole team; that they may be bold and inspired, follow God's leading and be open to new ways of serving Him during their time in Cromer;
  • for the under-5s; that they may have a safe time and lots of fun as they play and learn more about Jesus and His love for them;
  • for the 5s-10s; that they may learn more about God's love and truth, and discover how their lives can be changed if they follow Jesus;
  • for the 11s-16s; that they may face the challenge of growing into young adulthood with Jesus as their saviour and friend;
  • for the Youth events; that God would be present and at work in the leaders and in the young people, and draw them to Himself;
  • for the Family events; that a good time may be had by all, and Good News heard by all;
  • and for all those involved with the Mission; that they may look to God for guidance, and know the power of His spirit to transform lives.

The Lord's Prayer (Contemporary)

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.

The Lord's Prayer (Traditional)

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

A Prayer for the Church

O God, in whose sovereign power rests everything in heaven and earth, take hold of your church today that, in every parish in this Diocese, we may be led humbly in the paths of holiness and boldly in the ways of witness, that many may be found as new disciples of Jesus Christ and learn to live joyfully in the power of your Holy Spirit. Amen.
