On Sunday 5th January, we have just one morning service - at 10.00 a.m. in the Parish Church - when all our morning congregations gather together for an all-age communion service to mark the start of 2020 with Vision Sunday.  Whatever your age, background or experience - and whatever your reason for being in Cromer - you'll find a warm welcome and we look forward to seeing you there. This means that there is no 9.00 and no 10.45 at the Parish Church, and no 10.30 at St Martin's on that day. Sunday@Seven (7.00 p.m. in the Parish Church) takes place as normal.

We'd like to take this opportunity of wishing you a Happy New Year! We hope and pray that 2020 will be a year filled with blessings and a time of new or renewed commitment to follow Jesus.

The New Year’s Day firework display - now in its 21st year - will take place from the pier at 5.00 p.m. on Wednesday 1st January and Titanium fireworks have planned an impressive display to get the New Year started in style.
Please come early, enjoy a day out at the seaside and support local shops, cafés and other businesses. There are a number of activities taking place during the day, including a family fun run, organised by North Norfolk Beach Runners.  Registration is from  2.30 p.m. and the run starts at 3.00 p.m. from the Cromer Pier Forecourt.  There will be a torchlight procession at 4.30 p.m. from Cromer Parish Church, and you can purchase a torch from outside Cromer Museum to take part. The Parish Church will be open to provide a warm, quiet place to get out of the cold, and to allow volunteers to serve refreshments throughout the afternoon.

Every penny collected helps to pay for the display and for donations to local charities. For further details, please visit the New Year's Day Fireworks page on Facebook.

Joy to the world - the Lord has come!

let earth receive her king,

let every heart prepare him room

and heaven and nature sing,

and heaven and nature sing,

and heaven, and heaven and nature sing!

Joy to the earth - the saviour reigns!

let songs be heard on high,

while fields and streams and hills and plains

repeat the sounding joy,

repeat the sounding joy,

repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

He rules the world with truth and grace,

and makes the nations prove

the glories of his righteousness,

the wonders of his love,

the wonders of his love,

the wonders, wonders of his love.
