On Sunday 6th January, we have just one morning service - at 10.00 a.m. in the Parish Church - when all our morning congregations gather together for an all-age communion and commissioning service to mark the start of 2019.  Whatever your age, background or experience, you'll find a warm welcome and we look forward to seeing you there. This means that there is no 9.00 and no 10.45 at the Parish Church, and no 10.30 at St Martin's on that day. Sunday@Seven (7.00 p.m. in the Parish Church) takes place as normal.

The New Year’s Day firework display will take place from the pier, weather permitting, at 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday 1st January. The Parish Church will be open to provide a warm, quiet place to get out of the cold, and to allow volunteers to serve refreshments throughout the afternoon.

The event is orgainsed by a committee with members from Cromer Town Council, North Norfolk District Council, Cromer Carnival and Titanium Fireworks. Many other local organisations are actively involved, including Cromer Church, the Cromer Church bell-ringers, Cromer Police, Cromer Fire Brigade, Cromer RNLI, Cromer coastguard, North Norfolk Beach Runners, St John Ambulance, Cromer Museum and, on the day, a fantastic team of bucket collectors.

Every penny collected helps to pay for the display and for donations to local charities. For further details or to volunteer, please visit the New Year's Day Fireworks page on Facebook.

We wish you a joyful, peaceful and blessed Christmas

and, at this season, we pray: "Lord Jesus Christ, your birth at Bethlehem draws us to kneel in wonder at heaven touching earth: accept our heartfelt praise as we worship you, our Saviour and our eternal God. Amen." and "God our Father, whose Word has come among us in the Holy Child of Bethlehem: may the light of faith illumine our hearts and shine in our words and deeds; through him who is Christ the Lord. Amen."
