Mission 2017 takes place between Sunday 20th and Saturday 26th August, and we’re looking forward to another exciting time this summer.
Mission is run by a team of volunteers, and is a partnership between Scripture Union and the local churches. Holiday-club style activities and Bible teaching for 3-11 year-olds will take place in the Parish Hall from Monday 21st - Friday 25th, 10.00 a.m. - 12.00 noon and will include games and activities and a time to explore what it means to be a Christian. Teen and adult groups will meet at the same time. The venues for these will be confirmed shortly.
Each afternoon, between 2.30 and 4.00, there will be activities for all-ages on the beach or in the local parks. Mission Café, run by volunteers from the local churches, will also be open in the Parish Church from 2.00 to 4.00 every afternoon and will offer a place to relax, chat, pray and reach out to parents and passers-by. Evening activities include the Family Ceilidh and Quiz Night as well as one or two special events for adults.
