thumb 2017 christmas events postcard

Our Christmas service arrangements have just been published.  There's a wide variety of services - some traditional, some contemporary - so there's probably something for everyone, whatever their age, background or experience. Everyone is welcome at all our services, and we look forward to seeing you this Christmas.  You can read and download further information here.

thumb chapel windowThe Parish Church is open daily from about 9 a.m. until about 4 p.m.

The church is open all-day, every day (except when a funeral or other private event is taking place) though the tower is now closed for the winter and won't re-open until May 2018. The whole church is accessible and there is plenty to see, explore and enjoy.  The chapel offers simple prayer ideas to help everyone pray, or to leave a prayer request, thanksgiving or remembrance.  So, whether you're interested in the architecture or the stained glass, want to attend a service or are looking for a few minutes peace and quiet to sit and think and pray, please come in.  You're very welcome.

Light Break CaféDuring term time, we run several groups for pre-school children with their parents and carers.

Light Break Café (8.45-10.00) and Baby Playtime (10.00-11.30) take place at St Martin’s in Mill Road. Take-a-Break (10.00-11.30) meets at the Parish Hall, opposite Boots, in Church Street, while Take-a-Break Too (10.00-11.30) takes place at St Martin’s in Mill Road.

Cornerstone logoCornerstone is our coffee shop, which can be found in the Parish Hall.

Cornerstone Coffee Shop is open 10 a.m. - 12 noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Thursday in the Parish Hall.

Cornerstone provides a great place to relax, chat, meet old friends and make new ones. Drop in for a snack and a drink - including a delicious Latte or Cappuccino from our 'bean to cup’ coffee machine - or, on Thursdays, for a light lunch. You're sure of a warm welcome.
