Services at St Martin's and the Parish Church

We are one church, with two centres and five congregations. So, on most Sundays, there are four services; three at the Parish Church and one at St Martin's and, on Wednesday mornings there is one service at the Parish Church. Details of the services for this week are on the home page and those for the weeks ahead can be found here. Each service has its own style and character. Read the details below to learn more.

9.00 a.m. - Communion at the Parish Church

The 9.00 service at the Parish Church offers a quieter and more reflective start to the day, with more traditional texts and hymns, the organ and the choir. The 1st and 2nd Sunday of the month are normally Common Worship (Order 2) and the 3rd and 4th Sundays, Common Worship (Order 1).

10.45 a.m. - Morning Service at the Parish Church

10.45 at the Parish Church is informal and family-friendly, with a more contemporary style. Music is led by the music group, there are teaching groups for children and teens. This service aims to be accessible to all ages.  The first Sunday of each month is usually communion, but the pattern changes to accommodate festivals and other special events so it's always worth checking, just to make sure what you're coming to.

The 10.30 service at St Martin's is smaller and more intimate than the Parish Church. The second Sunday of most months is usually communion, and the fourth Sunday is normally Café Church, but it's worth checking so that you know what you're coming to.
