Climbing the Tower

E-mail Print

The tower is now closed for the winter

During the summer season (from the Late Spring Bank Holiday at the end of May to the end of September) the tower is open 10.30 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. on Saturday. A small charge is made for climbing. The tower is about 50m high and on a fine day, as you can see from the pictures below, the view from the top is magnificent. The steep, narrow, spiral stair has more than 150 steps and is the only means of access. The pictures in the middle of the middle row, below, give you some idea of what it's like. There are some larger pictures in the gallery.
