Welcome to Cromer Parish Church with St Martin's Suffield Park!
A Church has stood at the centre of Cromer for well over 600 years. The Church, however, is not primarily a building but a people - a people who have discovered the good news of Jesus for themselves, and are trying to share that with others. This is who we are. One Church, with two worship centres and four Sunday congregations all trying to be "the people of God for the people of Cromer.”
Who we are
Who we are
We are an Anglican church, part of the Church of England Diocese of Norwich. We also have an identity within the "evangelical" tradition of the church and, in recent years, have been increasingly open to what has become known as the "renewal" movement. In practice this means that we take seriously the Bible as the "Word of God" and try to organise both our church and individual lives around this, but are also open and expectant to all that God may be wanting to do among us now!
We aim to be an inclusive, open, all-age community that values the contribution of all its members, regardless of their age, background or anything else! We are not perfect. We have many faults, but we are trying, together, to be an authentic Christian community shaped by the gospel, open to the Spirit, for this particular part of north Norfolk, at this particular time in the 21st Century.
If that is the kind of Church you would like to be part of, then we would love for you to join us too!
What we believe
What we believe
We believe that in Jesus, God himself touched the earth.
We believe that when Jesus said, "Come follow me," it was an invitation to all, whatever our past, to get our lives in step with the God who made us, who loves us and who desires the best for each one of us.
We believe that it is in responding to Jesus' invitation to follow him that we become fully alive, fully human, receiving the "full life" he came to bring.
We believe that life is not meant to be lived alone but in community, sharing our lives with others who have responded to the invitation Jesus has made.
We believe in the reality of life after this life, of Jesus' promise of eternal life to those who have walked with him during their time on earth.
We believe the coming of Jesus to be the greatest event that has ever happened on earth, and we long for you to know this too.
