CPAS logoThe Church Pastoral Aid Society's vision for the next five years is to be at the forefront of leadership development in churches; to equip them to train a generation of children and young people for leadership and to inspire leaders under the age of thirty to offer themselves for ordination.

The Church Pastoral Aid Society has a long history of enabling churches to reach out to the people of the day with the good news of Jesus Christ.   They are committed to continuing and improving ongoing ministries, which include Growing Leaders Courses and the Arrow Leadership Programme, as well as developing new projects for the future.

CPAS is our Patron - as they are for more than 500 parishes across the country. The Patron has the right to choose the Vicar, whenever there is a vacancy, and it is very important that they choose wisely so as to help these churches remain focused on mission, and on reaching out to their local communities with the good news of Jesus Christ.  Please pray for CPAS as they undertake this important responsibility. Pray also for churches that are looking for a new Vicar, that these vacancies will be filled with clergy whole-heartedly committed to the gospel and to seeing people come to and grow in faith in Jesus.

CPAS invests a lot of time and money in working with young people. The Ventures and Falcon Camps provide life‑changing holidays for children and young people aged 8 to 18 years. These holidays attract children and young people who've never attended church, as well as those who've attended since birth. To find out more, click here. Please pray for this work.

CPAS runs church leadership courses, including 'Growing Leaders: Youth Edition'. This lasts several months, and features a mixture of teaching, mentoring and practical application to develop young people in Christian leadership. Further details can be found on the mission boards. Please pray for this work

These are just a three aspects of the work of CPAS. Please look on the mission boards in our Worship Centres to find out more.  Please remember the work of CPAS in your prayers that they may receive the funds to enable them to carry out their vision. The work of CPAS is our particular focus in the months of May and November.

Bible Motto 2010

praise_hands"And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

Our 2010 Bible motto is taken from Acts 2:47 and reminds us that, as a Christian church family, we exist to worship a loving God; to express that love in Christian community; to draw people to Jesus; to build them up as His followers, and to equip them for service for the good of the world.
